Composition Bug Report
You've been through a lot these past thirteen weeks, but you are better for it. You've slayed dragons, solved the Eagonite problem, and outwitted the Sitting Elite. You are well deserving of the label "Composition Adventuring Elite." In this reflection of what you've been through on this journey, think real hard about those moments of clarity, confusion, and surprise. A good adventurer (and game master) learns from his/her mistakes. Find your zen garden. Go to that comfortable tavern, sit next to the tavern, and listen to the bards sing of the newest adventures. Find the best place to reflect.
The Bug Report
Your final adventure for Composition will be a Bug Report. Essentially, it is a large reflection and associated portfolio to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the course, providing feedback and constructive criticism, as well as demonstrate knowledge of the course. If done well, the player will be rewarded for their efforts. It is important to do this quest to the best of your ability, not only to give the game master feedback, but also to put together a solid portfolio of your work and reflect on your semester. The Bug Report will be made up of two key components: The Portfolio and The Debrief (reflection).
The Portfolio
The portfolio is either a digital or paper document that will include work from the semester (artifacts) that demonstrates the effort the player has given in Composition. The following artifacts are required:
If a Digital Portfolio
If a player decides to make a digital portfolio, All artifacts must be condensed into one document via Microsoft Word, PDF, or something comparable. All artifacts must still be properly labeled. You must include a title sheet with YOUR NAME, AVATAR NAME, AVATAR IMAGE, DATE, WRTG120,and BUG REPORT. The second page should be the table of contents (no page numbers required). The third should be the final Debrief. All Debriefs should be emailed me to directly as an attachment.
- Table of Contents
- Raid One's Literacy Narrative Rough Draft and Final
- Top Three Assignments
- Bottom Assignment
- Reading Journal Entries
- Printed Player Card
- All Four Reflections

The Debfrief
The Debrief needs to touch on the following:
- A brief summary of your thoughts on the class (what key takeaways did you have).
- A brief summary as to why you chose each of the three top assignments. Why were they helpful? What did you like about them?
- A brief account as to why you chose the bottom assignment. Why didn't you find it useful? How would you change it?
- Write at least three sentences on each of the course outcomes (Bold each one): Rhetorical Knowledge. Writing Process, Genre Conventions, Multimodal Transformation, Reflective Practice.
- A paragraph on how you writing has changed over the last four months. What has this class taught you about your writing?
- A statement on my teaching. Areas for improvement?
- A statement on the game-based classroom? Positives. Negatives. Things that need improvement. Overall assessment.
Due Date:
